Dear Parents and Staff:
I am writing to let you know about an issue that our district is currently addressing.
Altus Public Schools administrators received an allegation of misconduct by an Altus Early Childhood Center employee. The allegation was immediately reported to Altus Police Department officials who are conducting a thorough investigation. The school district is fully cooperating with Altus Police.
There is nothing more important to our district than the safety and well-being of our students. Two employees involved have been placed on administrative leave, pending the outcome of the investigation. Because this is a personnel matter, we are unable to share additional information at this time.
It is never easy to share concerning news about our school issues; however, I want you to know I will always communicate as openly and transparently as possible with our school family. When we work together, we can ensure we provide the best and safest educational experience for all students.
